About Matt
When it comes to fitness, health and athleticism, Matt Kokish believes there are no ceilings.
A lifelong athlete, Matt discovered as a teenager how strength training, conditioning and proper nutrition can propel a person from a mediocre participant, to a powerhouse performer.
“I played many sports at high levels growing up, I never trained seriously for anything, or did any work in the weight room until I was 17. I thought I would always be a smaller guy with limited athleticism because of my genetics, so I just accepted that I would probably just be a role player on whatever team I was on.”
Matt says his transformation began when he adopted a training routine.
“This all changed once I started doing some strength and conditioning and eating better. My athleticism improved right away, and so did my performance in whatever sport I was playing.”
Matt has played and coached at the elite level in basketball in the Toronto area.
He studied Kinesiology at York University and is a Certified Master Trainer, accredited by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).

Matt’s specialities include strength and conditioning, corrective exercise, exercise therapy, and sports nutrition. He will work with you to improve your athleticism and sports performance and overcome and prevent injuries that may not be managed by standard physiotherapy.
He also offers world class basketball-specific skill development training and workouts
Matt provides virtual training sessions through Zoom, FaceTime, or other video options, along with custom workouts and nutrition programs, backed up by e-mail communication and support.
